Dale Stover

Managing Director, Strategic Investment Management
Financial Institutions Portfolio Strategies

Dale Stover serves as managing director of Strategic Investment Management in the Raymond James Financial Institutions Portfolio Strategies department. He works primarily with depository institutions developing and implementing total balance sheet strategies. As a former C-suite executive, his experience as both a community bank chief investment and chief financial officer provide him with insight across a broad range of strategic, operational, management, board and regulatory functions.

Dale has over 25 years of experience in portfolio and balance sheet management. Receiving his MBA from the University of Memphis (’95), he joined an investment and hedging team within the Department of the Navy before moving into the banking sector. Building on this experience, he worked with depositories as an asset and liability management (A/LM) consultant, focusing on investment, liquidity and earnings positioning. Leveraging his extensive A/LM background allows his holistic approach to move beyond the trappings of often more myopic strategic solutions. As an active portfolio manager, with ~$20 billion in investment assets under management, his present day market exposure and positioning provides clients with unparalleled perspective into their daily balance sheet decisions.

As a speaker at various bank, credit union, insurance and economic conferences, he shares his perspective on economics, balance sheet strategy and portfolio positioning. He holds the Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam), Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law).
